Building a Brighter Future Starts at Home
We’re Tucker and Lauren Strickland, co-founders of VI Solar Technologies. Our solar story began in September 2017, after Hurricane Irma and Maria leveled the utility grid and brought power distribution in the US Virgin Islands to a grinding halt.
We knew we needed reliable energy, and we needed it fast.
We didn’t set out to build a solar energy company. We were just trying to get the power back on and to help our neighbors do the same. It was the the small yet significant step that would transform our lives forever.
From Idea to Action
What started as a simple idea: strengthening the resilience of our community with solar energy and backup battery storage solutions, quickly evolved into a passion for sustainable energy, and a more than full-time business that would take over our lives and change them for the better.
